Don’t Judge (My) Books by Their Covers!
When life pelts you with snowballs and you can’t seem to lasso your writing muse, sometimes, it’s best to put the pen down and pick up something more colorful to get those creative juices going again. After finishing my nano, “Wave to Papa,” I decided to take a break from writing for a bit and try playing in the snow. While that chills, I’m turning my creative energies elsewhere. These days, in my free time, I’m having fun learning to design book covers. With cover talk on “Crazy Like Me,” it’s been fun seeing what the designers will be up to give a face to Katherine and her crazy crew! I can tell you it’s not as easy as it looks. And as one who definitely judges a book by its cover – literally – I know how important this part of the process will be. What better way to understand it than to try it? Here, you can see that I’m NOT a designer, but I can tell you one thing: that won’t stop me! Enjoy! And happy snowman-making!
